3 Things to Know About The Lived Experience Storytellers Collective

First I would like to thank you for taking an interest in our newly founded nonprofit, the Lived Experience Storytellers Collective. We are excited for this new venture as we strive to collect and archive stories to preserve our history. Here is a list of things you should know about us, what we stand for, and where we are now.

1. What is the LESC?

We are a collective of people who want to preserve BIPOC LGBTQIA+ history as told from the people who share their experiences. We are hoping to establish a database of oral histories and stories for academic purposes. We would like to see a space where this information is centralized and archived for future generations. We believe the best way to understand history is from the people who lived it and told from their experiences.

2. How do we collect stories?

As of right now we are working on finding the best way to organize and collect. We are in the very beginning stages of this project and we will soon be adding content to this website and our social media pages.

3. Can anyone be a part of the collective?

Yes, we will be looking for people to help collect existing stories as well as recording new stories. We will soon announce ways for people to participate and join us!
